This all began when my yearbook adviser, Mr. Jamie Vollrath, recommended to me something that I never thought of before. I was designing the yearbook spreads for the following deadline in December of 2024, and he told me, “you could be able to design MIPA a new logo.” That one line lit a spark that led to this.

After the completion of my high school and the beginning of my first college semester, I thought back to that quote, and I got to work.

This document will show you what I envision if Michigan Interscholastic Press Association redesigned its logo. This is not meant to demeanor the current logo being used by the organization. I hope to present my work that I have created to show my growth as a graphic designer and love for student journalism.

As I am currently writing this document to finalize my work on this 5-month personal project, I would like to note that all graphics that are presented in this document are graphics that I have designed myself or graphics that I have recreated.
